Need Visa to get to the race?

Visa Application Information for Runners

If you are from a country that requires a visa to enter Denmark (Schengen area), you have the opportunity to apply for a visa in connection with your participation in the race.

Note that Skanderborg Ultra, is in no way, in charge of the application for a visa, and/or responsible for sending the application in due time, and/or making sure the application for Visa is approved.

How to apply:

1. Fill out the visa invitation form (VU3)

   • Once you register for the race, you will receive a special visa form (VU3) from us.

   • It is important that you complete the form clearly and accurately in block letters.

   • The form includes information about:

     • Your full name, date of birth, address, and passport details

     • Your affiliation with a club or running organization in your home country

     • Your contact information and the purpose of your visit (race participation)

   • You must also indicate who will cover your travel and accommodation expenses.

2. Return the completed form

   • Once completed, return the form to us as soon as possible.

   • We will use your information to prepare an official invitation that must be included in your visa application.

3. Receive the official visa invitation

   • After we receive and process your form, we will send you a signed visa invitation.

   • This invitation is part of the required documentation when applying for a visa at the Danish embassy or consulate in your country.

4. Apply for a visa at the embassy

   • You must contact and apply for the visa at the Danish embassy or consulate in your home country.

   • Remember to bring:

     • The official invitation from us

     • Your passport

     • Passport photo

     • Proof of travel insurance, accommodation, and financial means

     • Proof of race registration (confirmation email, receipt, etc.)

Important:

• Please begin the visa process well in advance – at least 6 weeks before the race is recommended.

• It is your responsibility to obtain a visa and comply with entry and exit regulations.

• No refunds will be given in case of no-show due to visa denial or delay.
